Hi Marjorie,
Long time since we've seen you on here! I really like it too, very effective. Is it flood fill or just sugarpaste cut out?

Sorry haven't been around as I was away in Gran Canaria for two weeks in between visiting mum who was seriously ill in hospital so not able to do much cake work. Unfortunately mum died on Monday, but having a couple of cakes to finish has helped me through the week.
Anyway, I tried the 'jigsaw' method for the first time, but would probably try a run-out if I've something similar to do. The lady collected it this morning and was thoroughly delighted. I'll be posting another one later once I go back home (only in at work for a few hours today to catch up) which has another 'figure' on it which luckily I made a few weeks ago!

Sorry to hear about your mum Marjorie. Is it a slight relief for you that she's in peace now? I watched my Aunt die of cancer and it was absolutely awful. She just withered away and she was only 60.

Thanks for your kind thoughts. Mum was 87 and lived in a care home for five years. They thought she'd had a slight stroke but the scans showed up advanced cancer of the lungs and brain. She was only in hospital for five weeks and although went downhill slowly, just blamed it on 'old age' and was thankfully in no pain. We never told her what was really wrong. Visited her on Monday evening and the nurse phoned about an hour later to say they thought she had just gone to sleep when we left, but when they checked she had passed away. Still a bit of a shock, but a very good way to go. Funeral is on Monday so I've cleared the decks until after that as I think all the arranging is done now so just going to have a restful weekend with the family - David, my son, is on the way home from Bradford this afternoon so it will be good to have him with us for a few days and Christine, daughter, will no doubt be appearing for meals at the weekend as usual. Just reminded me to post my other cake of the week. Thanks again.
Marjorie

Marjorie, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum, I'm glad you were visiting with her as her right at the end. It sounds like she didn't suffer mentally or physically which has to be a nice way to leave.
I love your figure modelling too. I've just done my first ever cake with figures on it, I'll post a picture later - as the guru of modelling I'd really value your opinions on it!
