Absolutely love it! Really different. You should make a book on all the cakes you make, they're truly spectacular.
Sorry about the tough time you've been having recently and am glad to see you back. :-)

Did this cake for a neighbours wedding - was pretty simple to do but I loved it! I loved the whole Moulin Rouge feel to all the feathers. I also used polystyrene separators in between each layer for the first time and I like the effect that the added height has to it.

This cake was my highest paid order so far and caused me so much stress as I had to deliver it assembled. It was a fruit cake and was hugely heavy and difficult to move around. I think, in the end, the money wasn't even worth the years it took off my life in stress. It doesn't look massive - but I could barely carry it even one metre!

wow and wow again....your cakes are beautiful...so you always put a shimmer on them or just on some...
Love the height of the stacked cakes aswell....its just getting people to pay for them..I always end up with smaller ones due to price. I do like the divider on the feather cake..been thinking about getting one but not sure how much use it will get. The feathers are beautiful and I like the idea of the dummies inbetween also you can wrap your feather around in for that impact.
How did you get the idea for the bottom cake with the swirls again think its great...
Well done on all of them

The feather cake is a 10", 8", 6" and 4" on top. The divider is from Lindy's Cakes and cost about £70 once it was posted to me - ouch. Actually the bride hasn't got round to giving the stand back to me yet (grrr). I didn't think to ask for a deposit for it - will ammend contract for this next time.
The swirls one was for a bride who had a pair of bluebirds on her invite and it was obviously important to her as she wanted them incorporated into the design. The swirls are supposed to represent the flight path of the two birds as they soar upwards and the stars are coming off the flightpath. Her dress was ivory with a gold shimmer hence the colour. I didn't actually like the bluebirds thing as I felt the colours didn't go and she wanted the birds facing down which seems to me like they're plummeting into the cake which is a bit odd - each to their own!

Just had a look at your recent cakes - spectacular, but as you say 'each to their own'!

Whoops! That was my comment above. I couldn't understand what name they wanted me to put in so I put yours in Emma and then I realised I wasn't signed in.

They are all SUPERB. Love them. Didn't know it was you at the time, but my father and I much admired your exhibition cake at Cake 2006. Have you any update on your Squire's classes/magazine contributions? It would be interesting to hear how it is going. - Diane
