Hi. Sorry I haven't been around for a while, but was away for two weeks in Fuerteventura and haven't got back into gear since then, although I have a Gucci-type bag to do over the weekend.
For goodness sake - get insurance! Even to safeguard folks saying they choked on 'something'. I got mine through British Sugarcraft Guild - not expensive, but worth the peace of mind.
On another note, I'm about to sell off a load of stuff - cutters, moulds etc.and books on ebay as it's stuff I bought and never used. Also equipment I've used only once. Anyone interested? Just needing to have a good clear out.
Marjorie

Hi Rach,
Those are lovely. The ball cakes are really effective.
I bet you were sick of doing those wired hearts by the end of it!!

I was..there was loads of them..It was such a big topper much bigger than the other parcel cakes I have done because the cake was fruit so had to be marizpanned etc just went to a taller wider chunker cake than the sponge ones..so the topper had to be bigger to compensate for it......very heavy to lift to..lol

Your cakes are all really up-to-date, and you seem to make quite a few too - how do you find time to run this site as well? Thanks for doing a great job.

I love both of them. Making the chequered side of the cake must have been really time consuming!

...and all those bits and pieces decorating the mermaid castle.......must have taken hours just to put it all together. My neighbour has asked me to do a castle cake for her daughter's 3rd birthday next month - can i ask how you did the turret roofs please?

Hi Rach!
You haven't been too busy with cakes lately? Has it been more face painting? I'm so relieved the cakes are done now although I'll still do family and friends cakes.
Sorry I didn't reply to your other email. I only found it a long time after you sent it because we'd changed our email address and didn't check the old one often at all.
:-)
