It turned out very well Rach. I love the glitter!
Emma, I"ve been meaning to say what a great idea you have doing a workshop over Christmas! Have you had any takers yet?

Yes, good practice - and the doll has turned out very well - love the glittery boots! On a tangent really - I'd go spare if my little girl (fictional) wanted dolls that look like hookers.
The Christmas workshop is Dec 2007!!! The arts centre it's at is fully booked until then. I won't know how many takers there are until two weeks beforehand - the maximum I think is 6 or 8 anyway, but obviously if there isn't enough then the course will be cancelled. I've had a few hits on my web-site coming from the arts centre so it's at least making people look.
At the moment I'm weirdly snowed under with cake requests. Last week I decided to put an ad in 'Arts in Devon' which will come out at the end of November. But ever since deciding this I've been innundated - at least one call a day so now I'm regreting spending £100 on the ad!

That's a long way off! Still a great idea though.
Wow, one call a day?! As long as you're getting the price you want. I've been trying to do my leaflet but I'm a bit worried now because I've got loads of cakes to do at the moment and I don't think I"d be able to do a lot if I got inundated.

I've said no to two orders as they weren't prepared to pay what I was asking. I can only do one cake a week anyway so I get to be choosy. It's been dead for months so I don't expect the current rush to hold out!

I have been quite quiet since the summer which is great cos I have been busy with other bits but this has got me back into the swing again..got alot on the the school but thats all bulk baking and fund raising etc which I enjoy but doesnt give me any extra money oh well.....its worth it to see the kiddies faces though when all the cakes and cookies go in ...lol..
