Hi, I've been asked to make a chocolate wedding cake (milk chocolate) and it's to be covered in white chocolate paste. Can you do this? What would it taste like? They said they wanted it to be like the Belgian chocolate cakes found in the shops. So, for the inside I could make the cake using something like cote'dor Belgian chocolate and then cover it with white covapaste or whatever the chocolate flavoured one is. I'm just worried about the milk chocolate cake covered in white chocolate icing. What do you think?

you can buy white chocolate paste from squires kitchen and designa cake ..i think....just roll on like fondant.......I dont see why it wouldnt be okay its all chocolate...and if its what they want...also for the inside you could use a chocolate ganache again squires do a full range for making chocolate cakes check out their site for fab ideas...its not cheap though.......
make sure you charge enough for it cos the chocolate will cost alot

Ok thanks Rach. I've got a recipe for chocolate ganache so I'll just use Belgian chocolate in that and then buy the white chocolate paste.
