hi everyone, Reading all the difference subjects & other members questions & answers this site looks fantastic & a god send for me. I have recently taken up cake decorating & attend a night class every tuesday, we have just completed our xmas cake which we had to learn the art of royal icing!!! I have recently been making birthday cakes for family & friends & reading up on a few comments & I didn't realise that I needed to be HSE inspected & have insurance!!! This all makes alot of sense & will be arranging all the necessary actions to be done. My only concern is that I do have a dog who has her bed in the kitchen/dining part. Would this affect the HSE?. I am looking forward to speaking to everyone & most of all knowing that i have expert advice to hand. Cheers, speak soon, Mandy

The dog shouldnt be a problem as long as it is kept away from the preparation area when being used for business..I was worried about this as I have cats..but keep them out and you will be fine.
Its nice to meet you Mandy whereabouts r you... If you fancy the cake competition it would be good fun..peppa pig car car we all post pics and best wins a prize and we all get to critic your own and others work and we all learn a great deal from the comments..
There is a thread under competition time..let me know if you are interested..
Anyway take care any questions just ask

Hi rach,
Thanks for the advice on the dog issue, she's kept well away from the preparation area & I spray & wipe down all surface with antibacterial spray before starting.
I live in hodgehill, castle bromwich, b'ham. I would like to enter the competion, but I have never seen or heard of peppa pig? where can i get a picture from to get a idea from?.
i have also posted a coulpe of my cakes through photobucket, but they have come up huge!! do you know how i can reduce them to thunbnail size?.
