HI anyone got a link or can give me arough portion guide for a square fruit cake ive got a 10 '' tin will this be ok for about 50 people thanks julie

10 inch square tin will give you 95 poritions this is based on one inch square pieces of cake..this is only a guide and it does depend on who and how they cut the cake..cutting guide should be given to the person cutting ....
Dont assume they know wot they are doing...I did a cake for a friend and the hotel said they knew how to cut it...well they did in big slices like trianagles ...luckily there was still loads of cake cos they had desserts and a 4 tier cake but my if they had just used teh cake for pudding not even a thoird would have been fed..

oh gosh what a nightmare if not enough to go round .This size should be fine even if they are a bit generous with the portins cos its only to feed 50 thanks for your help im sure ive got a guide in one of my books but you know its the only one you cant find or the very last one you look in , and you find it when you dont need it.lol
