Hi can anyone tell me if i can freeze a sponge cake with sugarpaste icing on .If so how should i wrap it and how do i defrost it thanks julie

No experience on this personally, but Culpitt's website advises that you can freeze it, but condensation when defrosting nearly always leaves marks on the surface. Depending on what decoration you are doing, that may not matter too much. I seem to remember reading somewhere else that you should defrost very slowly and unwrapped to minimize this. Looks like it is something you might try with some leftover bits first to see what happens. Diane

ohh..i thought you couldnt once it was frozen........maybe give it a try and let us know...could be a lifesaver if it does work out
