Hiya Does anyone have any ideas to cover madiera cakes with...besides fondant icing and buttercream or chocolate fudge icing.. I am having a totally blank weekend and my brian needs sorting.. Does anyone have any fab quick recipes to completely cover a maderia cake with.. Would love to know any other besieds the ones mentioned Thanks Rach x

just to get a nice cake covering which will look nice for the parents to buy..a quick and easy coating .
Just something differnt to butercream or chocolate fudge

does fresh cream works here? not sure but it's quick on lighter sponge cakes and can be put in freezer so iy keeps good shape. not sure what else

lemon curd is lovely or cream cheese mixed with lemon zest and lemon juice.

oh that sounds nice emma thankyou...fresh cream would but nauseen but not on this ocaion as it will be outside so wouldnt risk that one.
Do you have a nice recipe for any of those Emma

um not yet.........might try the lemon curd but cant find a decent recipe for homemade one....
