Im wanting to make some runouts for some christmas cakes im doing. It was about 10 years ago when i last did these any way does anyone have any tips or how i should make make the runout icing. Also what paper should i use and where can i get it from? Thanks..

I must admit I always buy the squres kitchen run out icing.....for me its much easier and I get the right consistancy..I tend to not do run outs as I have probs with the stuff drying..I tend to put on a non stick roll and leave to dry but to get a good effect a nice sheen etc you should put under a heat lamp or in fact a lamp would do ..to dry it out..cos if you leave if without anything....as I found out it took days and days and days..lol..to dry and it still wasnt brill..so pop under a lamp.....
