I bought a clay tool from ebay which cost about £7 and is the same basic thing as a sugar shaper, just cheaper. I've had it about eight months and haven't had any problems with it, or rust.

Thanks Rach and Emma. I needed one asap and as Alison hadn't manage to reply before I left home (not that I gave her much time!), I had to go out and buy one. I've got 5 cakes to make in the next 2 weeks and as I'm doing a bicycle one, I thought it's definitely time I invested in one. I think it will be money well spent.

I know, I felt bad but I really did need it asap. I needed to know she could send it this afternoon. I've got so much to do and if I can do anything in advance, it'll take a bit of pressure off at the end. I've got a bicycle cake and a rugby ball cake to do for Saturday.
I'm glad she's stocking more items now. It'll make it easier to buy everything in one place.

Sounds lovely!
Yes, I'm really busy, got loads of cakes to do. And there's a competition I'm entering in September so I've really got to spend time on that one. It's all good though, I'd rather be busy than have nothing at all. You'll probably start getting really busy now Rach. Whenever I say i'm not busy, I end up getting an order.
We're off to see the Thomas the Tank Engine show tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it. I can't wait to see the children's faces once the show starts. They're both Thomas mad!
