I would have thought it was 2 inch..I only say that cos by the time you pop your icing on and then do a borderit seems to look quite tight on my 4 tier princess I did 8,6,4,2 and that was quite tight..have a look at that one and compare..I wouldnt go less than 2 personally..but you could try and see......

Thanks Rach. I've managed to find a way around it now and will do an 8, 10 and 12 inch cake instead.

Well, i got the order for the skateboarding cake for 100 people. So i'll do the the 3 tiers and do the half pipe with a boy skating on the top. I also want to have the happy birthday message on the front of the cake. Looking forward to it although it's only for the 24th June.

Sounds good..how much you going to charge them..its a big cake.....did they like wot u suggested then..or did they come up with that

I charged 135 pounds for 150 people and because she liked the idea so much (i came up with it), she said make it for 100 people and leave the price as is!
I'm really looking forward to it.
