Following our discussion elsewhere about Colette Peter's books I wondered if anyone has good bok recommendations for aspects of cake decorating?
I'd love a book which details different techniques that has been written recently. A lot of books I'm coming across seem very old fashioned. I'd like a sort of 'bible' of techniques, hints etc. I'm sure there's billions of things I haven't even thought of that you can do with sugar!
I recommend Pretty Party Cakes by Peggy Porschen - all gorgeous little cakes with very contemporary stylish designs.

I like Debbie Brown too. I love the fairy tales book, not sure of the name of it. I'm sure you could do cakes like hers - the pictures I've seen of your cakes have been gorgeous!

very knid of you to say...but I think..oh it will look lovely...but it never turns out quite the way I want it too... and also they are very time consuming..and I found that people will look at her books then go for something less compicated to keep the price down..oh well...
