Hiya
With the marzipan..just use normal marzipan..just make sure it is well kneaded.......I have put a recipe for sugar on already..check out I think the recipe section...Also with flower paste I do tend to buy ready made find it soo much easier..The best I have found is Squires kitchen sugar flower paste..and Alison sells it in her shop here at a fab price aswell..I would get that..
Hope that helps

I have a recipe for own flower paste. MAkes 225g(1/2lb)
225 g(8oz/2cups)icing sugar. 1 tbsp gum tragacanth, 1 rounded tsp liquid glucoze and 1/2 tbsp cold water.
Sift icing sugar and gum tragacanth into a bowl. MAke a well in the center and add liquid glucose and 1 tbsp water. Mix together to form soft paste.9use fingers) knead on a surface dusted well with icing sugar until smooth, white and free from cracks. place in plastic bag and seal well to exclude all the air. Leave for 2 hours b4 using. Then reknead and use small pieces at a time, leaving remaining well sealed. Use vegetable fat insted of icing when kneading. This paste will keep for one month.
