Hi all, Im going to be 40 soon and having a bit of a party, everyone is expecting me to make my own birthday cake, but it feels a bit of a wierd thing to do!!!! On the other hand I don't want my hubby to spend a fortune on one or buy one from a supermarket (not that i have anything against them I just dont think they would be big enough) I really feel its a strange thing to do and I just wondered what you all think about it...... and would you, or have you ever made a cake for yourselves?

Thank you, still not sure, and if I do it myself I strangely have no idea what type of cake to do, love flowers but dont want it to be old fashioned, dont want to do models. AAAAARRRHH, might just go and buy one as im doing all the food as well so might not have time anyway!
