Sorry to be out of things for such a long while. Kids have been sick with one bug after another and I cut down on computer time a bit.
Have just tried a new gadget that I thought I'd review. It's called the Fimo MAgic Roller, a little plastic gadget from craft shops for making three shapes of beads. Not cheap at about 7.50 but cheaper than silicon beadmakers so decided to try it. Works OK but not wonderfully with sugarpaste, must say i haven't tried it with Fimo so may be no better. Sugarpaste worked slightly better hen not too dry so if you use it keep the paste a little moist. Bit fiddly to use and the success rate for me meant it took a while, but it does give even sized beads which could be handy. The ovals would be very difficult to roll by hand without it.
Overall I would say something to borrow and try out first before deciding if you like it., possibly worth buying outright if you have a wedding cake wanting beads on and don't have a beadmaker already.
