Emma, was it you who said you'd bought a ribbon cutter? If so, have you used it yet? I'm looking at getting one and wondered which one you got.
Thanks, Shianne

I got the Wilton ribbon cutter. I have used it and find it ok. The cutting edges are quite blunt which sometimes gives a slightly raggedy finish - this is easy to fix by just running your finger down it which knocks off the tiny ragged bits - but it cost a lot of money and I feel I shouldn't have to do this. It cuts fondant better than modelling paste as modelling paste, and flower paste, is a bit more sticky and therefore a bit more raggedy. I am pleased I have it, but just wish the egdes were sharper.

Thanks. I must say that when I saw it in the shop, I did wonder how sharp the edges would be. I'm wondering whether to buy the FMM ribbon cutter. It's also plastic but looks like it could be a bit sharper. Does anyone have the FMM cutter?

I've got both........the FMM one definitely cuts better. I enjoyed using it and then bought the Wilton one as it had a proper handle and more attachments (and someone was getting it for me in the US where things are MUCH cheaper), but it is too blunt to cut well and far too fiddly to rub off the rough edges all along a tiny zigzag strip.
