Made a quick cake for my daughter today and thought I would try the letter stencils. Please someone tell me what the trick is.? I rolled the fondent paste out thin like they said but couldnt get the letter out after I had pressed the stencil on.what did I do wrong.?

use flower paste..........fondant just doesnt come out very easily...also try putting some trex on your cutters.....

Or, try loads of cornflour (no trex). I tried that with some chocolate moulds last night and by hitting the mould on the kitchen counter, managed to loosen the paste or made it come out completely.

Well i have tried both the trex and the cornflower both work ok, but i read somewhere if you press, then shuffle the cutter from side to side it loosens it, i have used mine today and they still get stuck sometimes......

Many thanks for your answers. I did try moving it from side to side but they still didnt come away. will try different paste next time.

I find the best way to tap the cutter sharply at an angle against the board and it falls out. Always use flowerpaste.
