Hi Brenda
I've asked before and the answer was Stork margarine but i find it still ends up quite yellow. I think the answer is to beat it for a long time till it turns as white as possible.
Shianne :-)

Brenda and RAch, if you have a waitrose near you, get some flora white butter. the buttercream comes out a lovely white colour so if adding colours to it, it will be beautiful. My tesco does not sell it, but might be worth a try or sainsbury's.

I always use unsalted butter...can take any flavour and colour..also the tip for buttercream is to beat it for 5 mins in your electric blender it goes lovely and light and fluffy........you must blend for this time otherwise you find your buttercream will be harder and also will not lighten...
