Just wondered......everyone has some gadget or other they wouldn't want to be without. Please spill the beans, if possible how you use it (if not obvious) and the supplier. Might pick up some tips this way For starters, I LOVE, LOVE, +LOVE my Americolor soft gel food colours, more liquid than a paste but stiffer than liquid, ideal for icing and buttercream but possible for sugarpaste too (though paste preferred) as they don't make it dreadfully sticky Fab range of bright, strong colours. My cake decorating teacher is converted now so I got some for her. Supplier: Sweet Graces (in the US) via eBay. She combines postage so it's very reasonable overall, I've bought some Wilton stuff there too as even after postage it's cheaper than in the UK and her customer service is great too. At the other end of the price scale, my birthday present this year was a proper stand mixer/kitchen machine (Kenwood Chef, as I wanted the accessories such as food processor, ice cream maker etc for family cooking, bought from ElectricShopping.com who have good prices and very good service) Can't believe how much easier this has made life! Royal licing whisked up in no time, right consistency, after struggling with a hand mixer, and buttercream is sooooo light and fluffy in a fraction of the time. Anyone else got anything to recommend? Diane

I suppose food colouring is not equipment, strictly speaking, but you know what I mean.......
