Hi,
Hope you all had a good Easter!
No posts for 3 days so i thought i'd say hello.
I'm busy doing a horse's head cake for Thursday. And then I have a noddy cake the following week. Thank goodness it's only for the Sunday so i can spend the whole day Saturday working on it. It's a 3D car and Noddy, similar to the Peppa Pig cake. HELP!!!! I'm really dreading it.
;D

Hi Shianne
I was beginning to think the system was down - guess we're all still recovering from eating easter eggs all weekend - I know I am!
Good luck with the horse's head - nothing sinister I hope> - and looking forward to seeing Noddy care. I'm just glad no-one's asked me to do cartoon/ children's characters yet - I'm really dreading them.
Next one officially is a christening cake once the date is set, but meanwhile I'm working on a demo Goth wedding cake for my son's friends and spent last night making bats and crows out of black flowerpaste on wires. Tonight it will be the skulls and starting black roses. Only difficulty seems at the moment I can't buy purple regalice so will have to mix some - hands are going to be really lovely after that. Any good at a Goth wedding couple cake topper?
Anyway, stomach is calling me to lunch.
Talk soon.
Marjorie

Chrissy and Shianne
I've now made the 'blood-red' roses and some pewter-effect crosses (moulds from Diamond Paste), and some 'gothic' windows with Patchwork cutter (white 50:50 coloured with 'liquorice' paste. I also bought black and purple feathers at the weekend, so I've no excuses now for not getting the dummy cakes covered and putting it all together if I could just get the design sorted out in my head - and finding the time of course. Wish I could pack in full-time work and do more cake stuff during the daytime.

We had it all.And I have been ill since last tuesday. Had to give in and see doctors on friday cost $160.!! still not well but better than I was and now my husband has it also. Sunday at the airport and yesterday until we got home ,at five thirty, seemed like forever.! anyway hope everyone is well and had a nice bank holiday last weekend.Have a christening cake to do for my grandson in two weeks so will have to think fo some ideas. Lovely cakes you have all made whilst I have not been here. Well done.

Brenda Good to have you back and hope you are feeling better now. I was in LA, San Fran, Las Vegas and San Diego a couple of years ago and loved it all. Did you do the helicopter over Grand Canyon? Wonderful country. Anyway, we've all been busy mostly on the Showtime area. Have a look at Karen Davies book 'A cake for a christening'. Full of wonderful ideas. website www.karendaviescakes.co.uk.
