Can I offer some advice about web-sites? I used to be a web designer and if you're trying to build a web-site simply by writing code you're going to find it very hard indeed to get something looking professional. I recommend buying yourself a copy of Dreamweaver and using that - it's fab software and so easy to use. You can buy a copy from ebay for about a tenner - don't worry about getting the latest version. It's very like Microsoft's Front Page but much easier to use. I designed my web-site with it and it took about half an hour and I haven't worried about including anything fancy. (www.emmascakes.co.uk)

Yes, Rach, i agree with Emma too. It'll be a lot easier, and certainly cheaper than paying someone else to do it for you.

RAch, whichever you go for, bear in mind you still can't get a webspace for free without any adverts on. If you get a hosted package, it means you get the added benefit of controling virus and spam. The templates are so easy to do, plus it's easy to add things on in the future. I'v no experience with dreamweaver but if the other girls thinks it's quick and easy might be worth asking them where they got their webspace from and start from there. If you get stuck, it looks like there's loads of PPl here to help

Rach - my web-site is hosted by my broad band provider and I don't pay anything other than my normal broad band fee and if you look at my web-site there's a tiny ad for printer inks, you really have to look for it - that's all the ads I have, nothing more. If you have any questions feel free to contact me direct my email or on this board as I'm very happy to help. Once it's up and running, which won't take long if you get Dreamweaver, then it's dead easy to maintain.
