This is the church as my mum called it last night...... i think of it more of a crooked crypt..... but it is supposed to be a castle made for my daughter as she was 21 on tuesday. a lot more work than i thought and it was rushed, i ran out of time...... thanks rach the pastillage was great to work with, although it was shop bought sponge top and bottom chocolate for the middle tier, if i make another i know i need a lot more time on it. the sugarpaste cracked on the middle tier, i did find it hard to put on, a lot of mistakes, but i know for next time, if there is one, lol.

Hi Chrissy
Well, I think it's a gorgeous castle! I haven't had to do one yet but I'm looking forward to it when I do.
Looks like a lot of work.

I love the castle - I've never made anything like this. Could you tell me how you do the turrets? Are they hollow or is there cake in the middle? And how do you shape the pastillage for the conical tops? gorgeous colours too - I bet she LOVED it!

A rush job for fathers day, left it way too late to make one the icing did not dry in time.
