hi all, The church is made with the patchwork cutters "make a church" & is made with squires flower paste. i have also used the xmas novelty set for mini xmas cakes i made as presents they went down a treat. The book is on a Debbie brown's creations, i followed her instructions , but did slightly different design. She does the leather effect by placing some tulle onto the icing & using a smoother rub over tulle, then remove tulle and using the paste colour to get the effect. but i never had any tulle so used a sieve & rolled back & forth onto the icing & mixing brown paste with vodka, dabbed onto cake with kitchen paper. I have only been cake decorating since end of september, so I still have a lot to learn, & from looking at everyone's fab cakes you never stop learning as there's so many techniques to master. I enjoyed making the puppy dog, first time i've use a wilton tin, very impressed, so looking on ebay for more bargins, they are especially useful for children's cakes etc...
anyway enough of me going on, I could talk for ages about cakes............ speak to you soon mandy

I have a few wilton tins..I actually bought them off ebay in states..cheaper than here...
I have got the scooby doo tin, little mermaid (very difficult to get hold of) and the face plate aswell and the 101 dalmation and the half football one.... So a few tend to use those the football one and the dalmation are most popular. Oh I almost forgot the doll wonder mould..thinking about it that has been used alot aswell very good for little girls. The rest of the cakes I cut the cake to shape..this is what I am hoping to do on the peppa cake.. Got the princess castle to do next and I have actually had an enquiry for some sugar flowers.......hooray........I will have to try and remember how to do them....and there was me saying dont get many enquiries for sugar flowers..me and my big mouth
Dont say anything Alison......

No I just go onto ebay.com and put in cake tin or pan..or say if I want the little mermaid tin put that in..there are loads..I got the dalmation one for $3.00 okay had to pay postage but it was still good value ..
The football tin the half one I got from sugarshack..and now I have it I have used it lots very popular with the kids young and old. The scooby one I bought off ebay.co.uk but it was actually posted from the states..but you cannot buy wilton pans the character ones that easily here..
