Hi all. I was wondering if any of you have been on any of the Squires courses? They have a week long course running which co-incides nicely with my half term.
Also have you heard of Geraldine Dahlke or Paddi Clark, they run some of the courses and are part of creativesugarart.co.uk which looks interesting.

I guess I will have to travel up the night before. I've sent Paddi a selection of my photos and she's going to pick out what things she thinks I need work on and teach me them. I'm SOOOOOOO excited I'm almost bursting!
I found out today that Debbie Brown will do individual tuition costing £175 a day and you can share this with up to two other people (so three people max) maybe some of us could get together and share this?

Beem to the squire's show last year. Visited their shop and where they do the classes. Very nice there. Very far away though, i'm in london an dit took me nearly 2 hours by train to get there!! Anyway yes sharing the course will be good, you just have to team up with ppl around the same level and ability so you all can take advantage of the things being taught.

Really jealous - what a fantastic experience. I'd love to do the Debbie Brown day, but don't think I could afford it this year - and anyway, not a lot of annual leave days left either. Love to hear all about it when you get back - enjoy!!!

Funny...Debbie Brown lives in Ashford in Surrey about 10 mins from where I used to live never realised before and now and am about 1hour and 15 mins away I could cry..but when I lived there okay I was interested in my cakes but not to the level that I am now if that makes sense.......
Could kick myself......but yes I would be in for teaming up....

I was just very very lucky. I sent some photos in to the editor of a cake magazine and she said she liked my designs and wanted to sponsor me to do some training and then hopefully publish my work after the training when I've hopefully got a more professional finish. I didn't say anything before as I kept having to pinch myself that it was true. I'm very excited and will give a full report of any tips and tricks I pick up while I'm there.

Thanks guys, I have been dying to say something. I didn't know they did that either, I wonder how often? I didn't like to ask in case they realised they don't do it and decided not to sponsor me after all!
It's Cakes and Sugarcraft magazine who are Squires Kitchen so I'm hoping to meet the editor while I'm down there. I will give a full day's report I promise.
